We are a proud team who focus on the craftmanship of our work, to bring you the best spirits possible.

Does the New Zealand weather impact your whisky maturation?

Yes, our alpine environment results in the oak integrating nicely with the spirit in this elevated altitude.  Cardrona's spirit is coming along more quickly because of the environment, the enormous temperature variation, elevation & range of humidity. Dave Broom says it best as part of a focus on climate for The Whisky Exchange’s Virtual Whisky Show, here; Climate: A Part of the Barrel's Terroir – Virtual Whisky Show
